Personal Details

After completion of my ‘Handelsdiplom’ I worked in the HR department of a major international bank in Basel and later relocated to South Africa where I lived for 17 years and worked in various international companies like Schindler, Dresdner Bank and Höchst. I also worked in the HR / Training department of a South African department store as well as in a cookery school where I was responsible for the administration and course planning.

While living in London from 1998 – 2001 I chose a completely new direction and successfully completed the following training:

· Cambridge Proficiency Diploma (CPE) - Grade A

· Training as English Language Teacher at Trinity College (Cambridge University), London

· Cambridge TESOL Diploma (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)

After two years of teaching English in London I moved to Küssnacht in 2001 and started the English Academy, a small private language school where people of all walks of life learn English in a pleasant atmosphere. Past students include people from all sectors of the economy, e.g. business people, pilots, teachers, flight attendants, housewives, pensioners, holiday makers, students, kids and others.

In order to be able to offer a high teaching standard and be up-to-date with the latest teaching methods, I regularly attend workshops and courses both here and in the UK.

Since 2007 I’m the President of the Verein Weiterbildung in Küssnacht am Rigi
